Christian Light Curriculum
Christian Light is a biblically-integrated curriculum that combines strong academics with Christian values, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and character they need to grow in faith and wisdom. Designed for both homeschool and classroom use, the curriculum uses a structured, mastery-based approach through self-paced workbooks called LightUnits. These workbooks foster independence, reinforce key concepts, and provide regular review to ensure long-term retention.
Reading
The reading program builds comprehension, fluency, and critical thinking through carefully selected stories and lessons that highlight Christian virtues and real-life applications. Students learn to interpret and analyze texts from a biblical worldview. Vocabulary development, literary elements, and reading strategies are integrated throughout.
Language Arts
Christian Light Language Arts is a complete program that includes grammar, writing, spelling, and penmanship. It provides daily, structured lessons that build foundational communication skills while reinforcing proper sentence structure, punctuation, and usage. Writing assignments are frequent and gradually develop from simple sentences to structured paragraphs and compositions.
Math
The math program focuses on strong number sense, problem-solving, and consistent practice through a spiral learning approach. Topics include arithmetic, fractions, decimals, geometry, measurement, and early algebraic thinking, with biblical and practical applications woven into the content. Regular review ensures that students retain and apply what they’ve learned.
Bible
The Bible curriculum teaches foundational truths of Scripture, introduces students to key stories and characters, and helps them apply biblical principles to everyday life. Lessons include memory verses, doctrinal instruction, and activities that nurture spiritual growth and a personal relationship with Christ.
Why We Chose Christian Light
With a clear structure, Christian worldview, and emphasis on independent learning, Christian Light provides a solid foundation for both academic success and spiritual maturity. It’s an excellent choice for those seeking a time-tested, Christ-centered approach to education.
